Serving the residents of Cherokee County and the surrounding area since 1960, Cherokee County Health & Rehab Center (CCHRC), is dually certified by both the Medicare and Medicaid. The facility houses 185 residents and offers three levels of service to the community
- 24-hour Skilled Nursing
- Alzheimer's/Dementia Care
- Short-term Rehab
CCHRC has a well-trained, caring and dedicated staff, with resident care being our top priority. Our skilled nursing facility specializes in wound care, rehabilitation, pain management, hospice care, diabetic care, restorative programs, and much more.

Cherokee Village Assisted Living and Specialty Care
Who We Are
Cherokee Village offers Regular Assisted Living and Specialty Care Assisted Living accommodations. Both are fully licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Health. The facility provides a safe and caring environment for residents who require assistance with their activities of daily living.

The Piedmont Health Care Center is dedicated to delivering quality long-term care, dementia and rehabilitative services, and to providing educational health care information for our residents and the citizens of Calhoun County and the surrounding area. With a skilled staff of over 100, Piedmont Health Care Center provides multi-faceted care and assistance delivering acclaimed services.
Piedmont is rated as a 5-Star facility by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).
Licensed for 91-beds by the State of Alabama Department of Public Health, and certified for Medicare and Medicaid admissions, as well as private insurance coverage.

Dugger Mountain Memory Care
Who We Are
The community has nine private residences reserved for Memory Care.
Large, comfortable rooms, allow residents to settle in with their own personal furnishings and style to create a cozy and relaxing home they can call their own. Rooms are both phone and cable ready. Regular housekeeping services are provided.
Residents are served three delicious meals in a spacious, well-appointed dining room. Residents can receive individually planned meals to meet dietary restrictions if special needs require it.
With a schedule of engaging, adult-oriented activities, there is always something to do! Staying active is a big part of keeping healthy.
Residents of Dugger Mountain will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that are social and educational as well as spiritual each day. Activities may include local outings, live entertainment as well as a variety of other events that are both fun and interesting!
Those who reside in the units reserved for Specialty Care also receive a full list of amenities and services that address their individual and unique requirements.
A staff member certified in dementia care is on duty 24-hours a day to manage and monitor residents in a secured, tranquil and safe environment.
